What is Ski King 2022?
Ski King 2022 is the middle entry in the Inlogic Software slope series, between the original Ski King and Ski King 2024. It is its own GameDistribution embed, not a redirect. You ski a portrait hill, pick up coins, and spend them on skills that change how the skis behave. Arrows on the slope mark a path. A boost button is there when you want speed, and an avalanche is the reason not to sightsee. The useful order is the opposite of the button’s temptation. Learn the arrows on a run that does not use the boost. Then add speed once the line is one you can repeat. A boost on a first look just delivers you to a rock sooner. Phones are listed, and the mode is portrait, so hold the handset upright. We show a tall player on desktop too. The category is skiing. The snowboard games from this studio are on the snowboard page, and the sleds are on the sledding page. If you already know Ski King 2024, treat this hill as unfamiliar ice. The family resemblance is the sport and the tall frame, not a shared map.
Ski King 2022 is an Inlogic Software downhill on skis, and it is its own GameDistribution embed. It is not the original Ski King, and it is not Ski King 2024. The portrait frame lists iOS and Android, so the phone stays upright and the desktop window stays tall. Coins are on the hill. Skill upgrades spend that economy on how you ski. Arrows mark a path on the snow. A boost accelerates. An avalanche follows, and a slow line lets it catch you. The page is in the ski category. The path arrows are marks in the scene. They are not a picture of the keyboard, and they are not the left and right steer documented on the 2024 page. Follow the buttons this 2022 embed actually shows.
The marked path is a suggestion you can refuse. Coins sometimes sit on it and sometimes sit just off it. A coin off the arrows is a detour, and a detour is time the avalanche is using. Take the coin if it costs a small lean and the path is still there when you return. Leave it if the lean points you away from the arrows and into a long crossing. The boost is acceleration for a stretch where the path is straight enough to absorb the extra speed. Using the boost as you enter a bend throws the line the arrows were marking. Skill upgrades come after you can finish a run on the default skis. Buy the skill that matches a failure you can describe, and read the label inside the game before you trust a guess about what it changes.
The avalanche makes speed part of survival. The boost is one way to find that speed, and a clean path is the other. Boosting through a mess spends the acceleration on a crash. Holding a careful crawl, with the boost unused and every off-path coin collected, spends the run on the snow behind you. The tall frame shows the next arrow while it is still small. Decide there whether the upcoming coin is on the path. Inlogic built this year as a separate hill from the original flag course and from the 2024 coin slope. GameDistribution serves this id alone. There is no cross-save among the three. iOS and Android play it upright.
How to play Ski King 2022
Start upright in the portrait player and ski the marked path for one full attempt before you chase coins. Note where the arrows point and where the avalanche sits if you follow them without the boost. On the second attempt, add the boost only on a straight stretch you already survived. If the boost carries you off the path, you started it too late or too close to a bend. Skill upgrades stay closed until those two attempts make sense. Then spend coins on one skill, rerun the same stretch, and see whether the failure changed. The steering control is whatever this embed shows. Keep the phone upright on iOS or Android so the path arrows remain in view.
When a run ends in the avalanche, the line was slow. Look for the detour, not for a harder grip. When a run ends off the path during a boost, the acceleration started in the wrong place. Move the boost earlier, onto snow the arrows already cleared, or skip it for that bend. Coins collected on the path fund the shop without a detour. Coins off the path are optional. A third embed, the original Ski King, uses flags and ice and upgrade points of its own. Those flags are not this path. Ski King 2024, the comparison on this page, has its own rocks. Learn the 2022 arrows as a route you can leave only on purpose.
- Start at the top of the portrait slope.
- Follow the arrows and steer around trees and rocks.
- Collect coins that do not pull you into a hazard.
- Use the boost only after the path is familiar, and stay ahead of the avalanche.
Controls
- Keyboard
- Left and right steer. The boost is the acceleration control shown in the game.
- Touch
- Touch controls. GameDistribution lists iOS and Android. Keep the phone upright.
Tips
Treat the painted arrows as a default line, and leave them only for a coin you can see a way back from. If you cannot see the return, the coin belongs to a later life. The avalanche is patient about nothing. A path you follow at speed stays ahead of it. A path you decorate with side trips does not. The boost belongs on the straight arrow, released before the next bend so the skis are settled when the direction changes. Acceleration during the change of direction is how a marked path becomes a crash beside the mark.
Buy one skill upgrade at a time, after a run on the default setup. If you buy two, you will not know which one changed the hill. Read the text Inlogic put on the upgrade. Believe that text rather than a hope that every purchase means more speed. Some skills will matter on the bend, and some will matter when the boost is active. Match the purchase to the crash. Coins you die holding are the same as coins you never saw, until the shop screen. Open the shop between runs, not in the middle of a path you are still learning. Portrait on iOS and Android, tall window on a desktop, GameDistribution embed, this id only.
- Ride once without the boost. The arrows are easier to read at the slower speed.
- Coins next to a rock are optional. The avalanche punishes the detour.
- A line that works in Ski King 2024 is not a map of this hill.
Ski King 2022 vs Ski King 2024
Compare this hill with ski-king-2024, Ski King 2024, the newer Inlogic portrait slope on GameDistribution. Both games have coins and an avalanche, both list iOS and Android, and both want the phone upright. Ski King 2022 adds the pieces the 2024 page does not document: skill upgrades, arrows marking a path, and a boost for acceleration. Ski King 2024 is written around coins, trees, and rocks, with the avalanche as the clock. Its published controls are left and right arrows in the tall desktop window, and a tap or a drag on the phone. This 2022 page does not copy that key chart onto a different embed. The buttons here are the ones inside the 2022 frame.
Play Ski King 2022 when you want the marked path, the boost, and skills you buy with coins while the avalanche follows. Play ski-king-2024 when you want the tree-and-rock slope and the arrow-key or tap-and-drag steer that page documents, without a painted route and without a boost. The coins are not a shared wallet. The avalanche on one hill is not the spacing of the avalanche on the other. A path-arrow habit will send you looking for marks the 2024 slope does not draw. A 2024 habit of skimming rocks will ignore a 2022 path that was the safe line. Same studio, two embeds, two years. The original Ski King is a third page again, with flags and ice. Stay on the 2022 arrows until they are dull.
Ski King 2024 has its own page if you want that run instead.
